Abstract
As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread over the world, there are more than 25 million confirmed cases which more than 6.8 million of them are still active cases and more than 800 thousand deaths as of 1st September 2020. 2020 is the year when planet Earth “stopped” spinning, highways could be seen empty due to the lockdown of the countries. Unable to travel out of the country, airports were full of unused airplanes. Even though some countries successfully flattened the curve in their countries such as China, New Zealand and Taiwan, there are still some countries where the number of cases are still growing exponentially such as the USA, Indonesia and Mexico. There are also some countries such as Japan and Australia that flattened the curve at first but a second wave of resurgence happened, which suggested that the virus is still vulnerable and could attack anyone anytime if we let our guards down. In this paper, we will be discussing the recoveries in terms of economic and medical field in several countries. After the findings, we will be predicting whether the world will recover or worsen at the end of 2020.
